First Key Speakers Announced for 2025 Edition of the EDAI International Conference
The EDAI International, returning on June 5th-6th 2025, at the iconic Cosmocaixa Barcelona, will bring together leading experts to address the theme “Neurodevelopmental Conditions in Childhood and Adolescence.” This year’s event will offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary view on child and adolescent mental health, integrating perspectives from clinical practice, research, and innovation.
Esteemed speakers at a national and international level are preparing to present their latest insights, with a powerful line-up that includes internationally recognized leaders. Since its inception, the EDAI International Conference has become a vital gathering for professionals in neurodevelopment and mental health. Past editions have hosted prominent figures such as Peter Fonagy, Anne Alvarez, Louise Emanuel, Sven Boltë, or Colwyn Trevarthen, and the 2025 program promises an equally distinguished line-up.
Confirmed keynote speakers include:
- Tony Charman. Clinical Psychologist expert in Autism, he is an Emeritus Professor of Child Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London.
- Antonia Hamilton. Professor of Social Neuroscience at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience of University College London, her research focuses on mirror neurons.
- Leticia Asenjo. Founder and co-Director of EDAI, Psychologist and Writer Leticia Asenjo is an expert in Mentalization.
- Michael Lombardo. Director of the Laboratory for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (LAND) at the Instituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Milan and expert in early developmental mechanisms involved in autism and atypical neurodevelopment.
- Nelly Padilla. Neonatologist and Neuroscientist, she is affiliated researcher at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, specialized in identifying neuroimaging biomarkers to create personalized interventions.
- Elena Martínez Cayuelas. Neuropediatrician at Hospital Jiménez Díaz, Madrid and associated professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her research focuses in sleep and circadian rythm in Neurodevelopmental Conditions.
