Keynote speakers announced!
Following the success of the 1st EDAI Symposium: “Advances in Autism from a Multidisciplinary Perspective”, held at Caixaforum Madrid in November 2023, EDAI is proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the EDAI Symposium on Autism, taking place on 23rd October 2026 at Caixaforum Madrid.
This new edition will once again bring together national and international experts to explore the latest advances in autism from a multidisciplinary and evidence-based perspective, promoting collaboration across clinical, educational, and research fields. The Symposium aims to continue strengthening knowledge, sharing best practices, and improving support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
Key speakers
Leticia Asenjo is a psychologist and a writer, she is the co-founder and co-director of EDAI. Her research focuses on mentalization within the PhD program Brain, Cognition, and Behavior. She is an accredited MBT-F supervisor by the Anna Freud Centre.
Sara Gámez MartĂnez is a postdoctoral researcher at the IoPPN, King’s College London, specializing in autism and mental health with a focus on physiological and cognitive biomarkers. She is part of the European LEAP project and the ReSpect Lab (Prof. HappĂ©), and coordinates the working group on Eating Disorders and Autism within AETAPI. She combines her research with clinical practice and specialist training for professionals.
Lena Matyjek is a Leader Postdoctoral Fellow at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, specialising in neuropsychology and social cognition applied to autism. She has developed her career at leading international institutions including Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Dartmouth College and UCL,supported by Marie Skłodowska-Curie and DAAD PRIME fellowships. Her researchfocuses on socio-cognitive strengths and atypicalities in autistic people.
JesĂşs Molina,PhD, is a general health psychologist, and psychotherapist at EDAI. His interests focus on research in Early Intervention, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), and Mentalization-Based Therapy (trained at The Anna Freud Centre-EDAI School).
