EDAI premieres the documentary Building Bridges Between Diverse Minds and Perspectives
Winner of La Caixa Foundation’s Social Challenges Call – A critical look at neurodiversity, difference and inclusion, closing the 2025 Reflection Programme of Palau Macaya 2025.
“What does it mean to have a diverse mind? How is mutual understanding built between people who think, feel and process the world in different ways? These are the questions running through Building Bridges Between Diverse Minds and Perspectives, the documentary with which EDAI invites us to rethink neurodiversity, difference and inclusion.
Drawing on philosophy, sociology, art and collective creation, the documentary questions the very concept of normality, explores new forms of empathy and coexistence, and opens up spaces for mutual understanding — a more critical, honest and shared look at what inclusion really means.
The conversation is led by Leticia Asenjo, psychologist, writer, expert in mentalization (University of Barcelona) and director of EDAI. Featuring Agnes Callard, philosopher, writer and professor at the University of Chicago; Damian Milton, sociologist, lecturer and autism researcher at the University of Kent; and Elisenda Solsona, writer and teacher.
The documentary closes the 2025 Reflection Programme (Cicle de Reflexió 2025), a series of debates, workshops and artistic experiences run by EDAI and selected as a winning project in the “la Caixa” Foundation’s 2025 Reflection Call.
